In my time working with Waterbury Press, I have been collaborating with Professor Emeritus, Dr. James R. Abbey on the 10th Edition of his textbook titled Convention Sales and Services. In this role, I have been building page layouts, copy editing, and generating relevant graphics using Adobe Creative Suite. I am also producing supplemental online instructional materials and digitizing the textbook instructor's manual.

I teach Core Humanities, Spanish, and Core Writing at the University of Nevada, Reno. My years teaching at the university gave me countless opportunities to hone my skills as a writer, both through teaching writing courses in English and Spanish as well publishing work related to my research interests. These courses also invited me to investigate the impact of genre, audience, and tone in new each term, a practice which proved invaluable to my writing. In this role, I was awarded Distinguished Teaching Assistant and Distinguished Letter of Appointment positions.

While teaching English Language Arts, Spanish, and Yearbook at Doral Academy of Northern Nevada, I realized I have a knack for instructional design and dynamic lesson planning. This is also where I first started getting an eye for design as I learned how to craft aesthetically pleasing yearbook spreads, and I was reintroduced to desktop publishing software to create instructional materials for my courses and yearbook spreads.
